1. the purging of the emotions or relieving of emotional tensions, esp. through certain kinds of art, as tragedy or music.
That's what writing is for me.
So I'm joining the 21st century and starting a blog. I've enjoyed reading everyone else's blogs so much, that I thought I'd like to start one, too. I don't yet know what my purpose or aim will be, but I know it'll be cathartic...

welcome to the world of BLOG! i have only been a 2 month member but already feel so cleansed by it! i hope you can find a little more satisfaction through your writing! i like your style and i totally agree with so much you said! you can lay down at night, completely exhausted and wonder, "what did i do today??"
at least now you will have a blog to show for it. ha!

Amen to it all. We all know I love to talk with others and that is cathartic to me, but writing is as well-- they are alike in many ways. I love that a blog can be anything you want it to be and whatever it is-- is ok. I am glad you've joined the world of blogging-- even though we live in the same state I still feel like I rarely know what is going on with you. Like today you knew what was going on with my house because of my blog. I of course have those days as you mentioned above, far too often! That is funny how you said you didn't think of yourself as a mother of boys really. I didn't either. I think because I had Ashlin first and so long and now to see we are outnumbered by boys and boy stuff, has caught me offguard. I'll be checking in.
